At Weko Group BV, we like to think about practical and sustainable barn equipment from the very beginning. In April 2020, cattle dealer Buijtels in Neerpelt, Belgium took into use a new rosé calf barn, for which we supplied and assembled the entire interior.
Custom livestock housing with innovative solutions
From the initial planning phase, we were actively involved in the construction plans for this barn. Through expert advice and detailed design work, we developed a well-thought-out layout that meets the needs of the calf farmer. We then produced and installed the entire barn interior, including the drinking water system.
New to our product range and implemented in this barn:
✅ Coated tile with anti-slip layer under the water troughs – Bonded to the slatted floor to prevent contamination of the water by manure.
✅ Better accessibility for young calves – Ensures that animals can easily reach their drinking supply.✅ Durable and hygienic solution – Extends the lifespan of the barn and contributes to better water quality.
This project is a prime example of an efficient and innovative livestock housing solution, where hygiene and animal welfare take center stage. Thanks to close collaboration with the client, the project was executed flawlessly.
